Travis 몇곡..



Oasis, Muse 와 함께 영국을 대표하는 밴드.

Cold Play의 Chris Martin은 "Travis가 Cold Play를 창조했다."라고 할정도로

현재 많은 유명 뮤지션들에게 영향을 미친

레전드급 영국 밴드..

하지만 그 명성에 비해 한국에서는 인지도가 그리 높지 않는 것도 사실.

서정적이고 편안한 음악.

읊조리는 듯한 보컬

그들만의 음악성이 확실하면서도 대중적이다.

그냥 오랫만에 Travis 앨범들 들으면서

개인적으로 귀에 쏙 꽃히는 몇곡 소개해보려고,,,

이 중에서 첫번째 트랙 'Writing to Reach You'

손으로 편지를 써본게 참 오래되었는데

전화나 문자, 이메일이 가질 수 없는 사람냄새나는 뭔가가 분명히 있다.

마음을 전하려 무엇을 뭐라고 쓸까..하는 고민을 하며

수도 없이 생각하고 고쳐서 편지 한통을 쓸 때의 느낌.

이 세곡을 외에도 많은 명곡들이 있지만

특히 이 세곡이 내 귀에는 제일 잘 맞는 것 같고,

무엇보다 세곡을 연결해서 들으면

누군가에게 첫눈에 반하고,

사랑에 빠지고

가까이 다가가기 위한 설레는 감정들로

편지를 쓰는 느낌이들어서,,,
